Inês Abreu
Inês is currently studying ‘’Comparative Studies – Literature, Arts and Cultures’ in Lisbon. Although having previously studied ‘History of Art’, she rapidly decided to change her academic course, after having realised that her main passion was writing. She considers having immersed into writing throughout periods of existential oddity. Writing has been regarded as compulsory since she started university, as it brought her feeling of solitude to an end. As she puts it, ‘’It is good being with oneself yet never totally’’. Furthermore, as she became increasingly fascinated with the power of writing worldwide, her preference seemed towards political opinion/analysis. Most of her literary work revolves around the notion of truth and non-fiction. She deems writing as a reflection of oneself, regardless of how simple or untidy it may be.
